  • Extensive Commercial Leadership Experience: Strong track record of defining & successfully delivering commercial success for a business line and evaluating new business ideas. Significant experience in a high-growth startup/scale-up with P&L accountability, owning commercial and strategic decisions (e.g. leading a product line and growing it)
  • Strategic Acumen: Deeply strategic mind, capable of seeing the bigger picture, thinking in systems, and anticipating future trends
  • Exceptional Problem-Solving: Thrives on solving complex problems in a fast-moving, often ambiguous environment
  • High-Ownership and High-Impact Mindset: Comfortable operating with high ownership in a leadership role

Responsibilities

  • Owning The Commercial Picture: Drive Business Banking planning and performance, from initial forecasting to supporting critical strategic decisions. Craft clear commercial strategy across channels, products, and markets for Business Banking
  • Navigating Our Strategic Course: Constantly monitor the effectiveness of initiatives and financial performance, using data to adapt strategies and ensure alignment
  • Defining Our Business Banking Strategic & Commercial Future: Partner closely with counterparts in Business Banking and across Monzo to shape long-term product strategy with commercial input, including:
  • Developing compelling business cases for product expansion and distribution initiatives
  • Crafting pricing strategies and business models for products
  • Making key build/partner decisions for vital product lines and features
  • Presenting and gaining alignment on strategy at senior forums (including ExCo and the Board)
  • Supporting sales and partnerships led initiatives to accelerate growth
  • Taking ideas from zero to one: Own the initial phases of new product and commercial initiatives
