Requirements

Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience (preferred)
Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience a plus (preferred)
Strong productivity management in freight processing (required)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills (required)
Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment (required)
Ability to lift between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation (required)

Responsibilities

Engage in on-the-job training to learn how to manage profitable store operations
Maintain high standards for merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques to create an inviting atmosphere
Recruit and hire store associates
Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising, including coaching and correcting
Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and enforce company policies and procedures
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate headquarters
Help store reach maximum profit contribution
Protect company assets
Maintain high level of customer service across the store
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
