Responsibilities

  • Uphold and coach standards every day, on every shift with every customer and barista (Barista Hero)
  • Lead from the front delivering elevated hospitality - spending time outside the bar to manage queues, recognize regulars, and role model to the team (Barista Hero)
  • Set the pace of the shift, jumping in when needed to support the team and maintain high energy (Barista Hero)
  • Own barista recruitment, recruiting only the highest potential talent across the four Barista Hero pillars (People Leadership)
  • Upskill the team through hands-on coaching, Field trainer collaboration, and specialized sessions; identify future leaders with Operations Managers (People Leadership)
  • Maintain standards through firm, fair, and regular feedback; address underperformance promptly with clear coaching and consequences (People Leadership)
  • Recognize wins and outsized performance through genuine moments of recognition to motivate the team (People Leadership)
  • Develop a connected and engaged team by building a fun and welcoming work environment and organizing thoughtful team events (People Leadership)
  • Design each shift by station with precision, balancing labour productivity with store demand; work with OM to define area labour planning and hiring needs (PnL Owner)
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, and waste with precision; manage POs, counts, and stock to ensure product availability while reducing waste (PnL Owner)
  • Identify and execute tactical levers to drive store sales (e.g., opening 2nd POS, labour changes for peak weeks, optimizing workflow) (PnL Owner)
  • Lead rollout of HQ initiatives (SOPs, seasonal launches, tools); land the “why” and “how” with the team to drive adoption and enthusiasm (Change Maker)
  • Track KPIs closely (Mystery Shopper, Audits, Reviews) and take action to drive change swiftly (Change Maker)
  • Combine team feedback to surface opportunities and develop a clear quarterly plan for continuous improvement (Change Maker)
