Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s retail business and excel in a management role
  • Spend majority of time leading amongst the team, identifying and working towards store priorities, and delivering great guest service
  • Learn to drive guest experience and impact store’s financial, team, and operational performance
  • Work alongside a mentor to learn effective department leadership and step into leading mentor's department with guidance
  • Lead and motivate a team, drive sales results, merchandise products, and provide exceptional guest experience
  • Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and support execution of daily operations while building team culture and guiding achievement of goals
  • Gain experience in guest service fundamentals, building and managing guest-first team culture
  • Engage guests, problem-solve, and resolve issues
  • Learn retail business fundamentals
  • Set and plan department monthly/quarterly workload to support business priorities and manage team to deliver service and sales goals
  • Manage a team of hourly team members and team leaders, create business strategies and goals
  • Handle recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders
  • Spend time on store salesfloor and backroom leading amongst team members and aligning on daily business
