Engineering or Engineering Technologist Degree
For Engineer Associate (SG-6): Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or acceptable alternative: non-ABET Bachelor's plus Master's/PhD from ABET-accredited program); passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam encouraged/preferred
For Engineer (SG7): Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or acceptable alternative), plus typically 2+ years of related engineering experience; Master's from ABET-accredited program may qualify for entry
Strong knowledge of substation electrical engineering, design, and equipment (preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, PowerBI, and Cognos for complex reporting
Experience with IPS Energy Asset Management software (preferred)
Familiarity with computer-aided design software (desirable)

Provide engineering support for substation capital projects
Conduct grounding, lightning shielding, and lighting studies
Prepare station configurations and layouts
Collaborate with project planners to develop substation solutions
Develop functional and detail scoping documents with project stakeholders
Assist project managers with station engineering activities and deliverables using Primavera P6 project schedules
Oversee internal designers or consulting engineering firms on select projects
Support construction and professional field service personnel during project phases
Collaborate across various departments throughout project lifecycles
Support Facility Ratings compliance with NERC Reliability Standards FAC-008-3 R6, including safe, effective, and efficient project execution and documentation
Work with stakeholders to resolve data integrity and error issues related to facility ratings
Create training materials for facility ratings processes
Train employees and contractors on facility ratings applications and compliance-related data management
Provide ongoing technical assistance for data error tracking and compliance documents
Coordinate data input analysis and issue resolution across multidisciplinary teams
