Candidates should have a BS or MS in Computer Science or a similar degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience. They must have experience successfully shipping large-scale backend services to production and proficiency in programming languages such as Typescript, Go, Java, or Javascript. Strong knowledge of REST, API design patterns, database technologies, and caching mechanisms is required, along with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
The Staff Software Engineer will develop and deploy scalable backend services that are reliable and fault tolerant. They will write clear, testable, modular, and maintainable code while triaging and troubleshooting issues across various cloud services and transport protocols. The engineer will define and implement key metrics to measure performance and reliability, contribute to the long-term architecture and technical roadmap, and work cross-functionally with diverse engineering teams, Product, and Program Management to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
