Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, including versioning, documentation, and performance optimization, is required. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including microservices, serverless, and containerized environments, is essential. Strong system design and architectural decision-making skills, the ability to mentor and lead engineering teams, and excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are also necessary. Bonus points include knowledge of payment platforms like Stripe or QuickBooks, experience with C#, Datadog, FinTech, or highly regulated industries, and previous work with real-time payment processing systems.

The role involves driving the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Additionally, the engineer will mentor and guide team members, set high standards for system design, security, scalability, and code quality, and champion operational excellence through observability, documentation, monitoring, and alerting. Proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues to maintain high availability and seamless customer experiences is also a key duty.
