Experience with Chromium is a plus, and candidates should be passionate about building tools and systems that make other engineers more productive. The role requires 4+ hours of overlap time with team members in the Eastern Time Zone.
The Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure will create the systems, tools, and infrastructure that power the company's AI capabilities and enable rapid prototyping and shipping of innovative features. Responsibilities include scoping and spearheading technical projects, supporting the infrastructure and architecture for core features primarily in Swift and C++, designing APIs, investing in observability, tooling, stability, and performance, and contributing directly to the Chromium codebase. The engineer will also take ownership of key infrastructure areas, participate in code reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions.
