Requirements

Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or SDET role, with strong experience building and maintaining automated tests and CI/CD workflows. Proficiency in at least one modern test automation framework (e.g., Maestro, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is required, along with working knowledge of scripting or programming languages like Ruby, Shell/Bash, or Python. Familiarity with mobile app testing, API testing, and web testing is necessary, as is experience integrating and maintaining third-party QA and monitoring tools. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive quality across multiple teams, coupled with excellent communication and documentation skills, is essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will build and maintain automated test infrastructure supporting mobile, web, and backend teams, and design and evolve CI/CD pipelines, test strategies, and test coverage tooling. They will create reusable testing playbooks and frameworks, integrate and manage third-party tools for various testing types, and collaborate closely with platform teams and application engineers to ensure testing is integrated early in the development lifecycle. This role involves leading testing strategy for critical projects, identifying and mitigating risks through tooling and automation, evangelizing best practices in testability and observability, and mentoring engineers in writing better tests and thinking holistically about quality.
