Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in server-side, backend programming using Python and related frameworks, with a strong understanding of Web Services (REST), Micro-Services, and SaaS Development. Experience designing solutions utilizing cloud-native technologies from AWS, including EKS, Kafka, Redis, and familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases is required. Additionally, experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, and visualization tools like Kibana, Prometheus, and Grafana is necessary, along with experience working with remote teams in US time zones. Automation experience, including frameworks, API and UI automation, is preferred, as is knowledge of Amazon AWS services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch. Docker and containerization skills are also desired, along with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

This role involves designing and delivering efficient, performant, and maintainable Python-based SDKs and Frameworks, collaborating with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing. The Staff Software Engineer will participate in team grooming and planning activities, produce unit and end-to-end tests, and be responsible for code quality through testing. They will contribute to training and onboarding new resources, deliver product demos to customers and internal stakeholders, address customer queries and escalations, and create new environments as needed. The engineer will also contribute to resolving complex technical problems, working as a team player with strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
