Requirements
Candidates are required to possess 8+ years of experience with Go, Angular, Ruby on Rails, React, or similar technologies, demonstrable experience writing or refactoring code for scalability and performance, a strong understanding of CI/CD deployment strategies and technologies, proficiency with relational databases like MySQL, familiarity with containerization (Docker), a passion for writing simple, clean, and efficient code, an unwavering commitment to unit/functional/integration testing, experience designing and implementing high-complexity solutions and features, and the ability to document and demonstrate solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, and white-boarding.
Responsibilities
The Staff Software Engineer will write code that is clear, well-tested, optimized, and thoroughly documented, learn and champion industry and SailPoint standard best practices, provide planned and interrupt-driven technical help and perspective to all engineers within the team, be the point of contact for technical feasibility of product requests, be a partner with the Engineering Manager to co-own sprint goals and ensure the path to delivery is fully understood and feasible, support the Engineering Manager and on-call with the prioritization of incoming bug triage and prioritization of work, ensure delivery of commitments on time that meet product and engineering requirements, drive discussions to ensure that all requirements are exposed and being met during the execution of a project, look ahead to future sprints and identify gaps in description, designs, or conditions of satisfaction, lead technical planning, grooming, and breakdown of tasks with a clear understanding of the ‘why’ and ‘how’ tasks and projects will be executed, fill any technical gaps necessary to deliver a great outcome.
