Requirements

Experience as a Staff-level Software Engineer, capable of supporting a group of talented engineers and managers
Expertise in designing, building, and operating reliable, scalable systems in-house (e.g., subscription, e-commerce, fulfillment, delivery)
Ability to solve hard problems: evolving systems for rapid growth, building flexible platforms for diverse customer needs, creating novel product experiences
Strong collaboration skills, with agency to scale the business, solve novel customer problems, and build relationships

Support a group of talented engineers and managers across teams ("pawds") in building reliable, scalable systems
Design, build, and operate in-house systems powering customer experiences (subscription, e-commerce, fulfillment, delivery)
Evolve systems to support rapid business growth
Build platforms flexible enough to serve customers (humans and dogs) with diverse needs
Create innovative product experiences that didn’t exist before
Make outsized impact on technology, customers, and pet care through direct involvement in scaling and problem-solving
Collaborate holistically across the organization, aligning to customer problems and goals rather than departments
