Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience. This role requires 6+ years of experience with JavaScript and Java or a similar OO language, extensive experience in designing and optimizing database schemas, and experience with modern UI frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue. Candidates should also have experience leveraging AI in work processes, proven project management experience, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to manage projects with material technical risk. Due to federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens, or US Permanent Residents with a green card will be considered, and passing a ServiceNow background screening, including a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check, and drug test, is mandatory.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will lead engineers through the full development cycle, driving on-time delivery of high-quality products. They will architect and implement robust database schemas for complex applications, build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices, and work with product owners and designers to understand requirements and own code from design to delivery. This role also involves mentoring colleagues and promoting knowledge-sharing.
