Requirements

8+ years of experience developing software on a team
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in a production environment
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to advocate and lead technical discussions during design and code review
Solid understanding of software design patterns and building reusable, extensible, and modular components
Knowledgeable of best practices, development tools, and a passion for technological innovation

Responsibilities

Design and build key components of Stellar Core
Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies
Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with the CTO and engineering team
Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on edge case analysis and future-proofing
Own core subsystems of Stellar Core and contribute to product milestones
Participate in code review and design, and contribute to engineering best practices
Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks to scale the system
Author detailed technical feature and protocol (RFC) specifications
