Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing software on a team
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in a production environment
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to advocate and lead technical discussions during design and code review
- Solid understanding of software design patterns and building reusable, extensible, and modular components
- Knowledgeable of best practices, development tools, and a passion for technological innovation
Responsibilities
- Design and build key components of Stellar Core
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and extensible technologies
- Collaborate on new architectures and subsystems with the CTO and engineering team
- Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on edge case analysis and future-proofing
- Own core subsystems of Stellar Core and contribute to product milestones
- Participate in code review and design, and contribute to engineering best practices
- Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks to scale the system
- Author detailed technical feature and protocol (RFC) specifications
