Responsibilities
- Leads the discovery phase of large backend engineering projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine project strategy, interpreting strategy into sustainable mobile solutions, driving prototype development, and implementing prototypes to validate projects
- Troubleshoots business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information, engaging support teams, formulating and implementing action plans, interpreting results, and performing root cause analysis to prevent future issues
- Leads project teams for Backend Engineering projects by providing direction on project plans, identifying solutions and timelines, guiding on issues or roadblocks, reviewing and approving solutions, implementing new architectural patterns, and performing design and code reviews
- Develops innovative technology solutions and strategies by collaborating with cross-functional partners, assessing opportunities, benchmarking industry practices, forecasting technologies, driving initiatives, influencing decision-makers, and defining software development guidelines, standards, and processes
- Leads medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by determining requirements, translating them into solutions for multiple operating systems, gathering information (e.g., design documents), writing and developing code, integrating solutions, developing UI solutions, conducting testing, communicating status and roadblocks, resolving issues, enhancing designs, ensuring on-time delivery, and guiding project managers
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying needs, developing and communicating plans and priorities, removing barriers, providing resources, setting performance standards, measuring progress, adjusting performance, developing contingency plans, and supporting continuous learning
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training, mentoring, assigning duties, building team-based environments, establishing performance expectations, and conducting regular evaluations
