Cars Commerce is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our Dealer Inspire's service delivery team. This role is crucial in revitalizing our customer-facing tooling across the Dealer Inspire platform. You will be instrumental in developing a comprehensive technical strategy to simplify and amplify user experiences and the capabilities they enable. Responsibilities

  • Lead Full Stack Architecture: Define and drive reusable, reliable, and scalable architectures across the Dealer Inspire - Deliver Services experiences.
  • Contribution and Partnership: Contribute to engineering and architecture initiatives, collaborating with principal engineers and engineering managers to execute and deliver initiative outcomes.
  • Author and Evolve Component Libraries: Lead the design and development of shared components and design systems, focusing on accessibility, theming, maintainability, and developer ergonomics.
  • Champion Performance: Optimize performance across browsers and devices. Partner with design and product teams to improve interactivity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience in architecting and evangelizing how to build and scale products like Dealer Inspire.
