Responsibilities
- Lead, plan, and drive the execution of large, complex, and sometimes high-risk engineering projects that often span across multiple teams or systems
- Design, develop, and implement scalable, efficient, and robust software solutions and systems
- Define the short-term and long-term technical strategy and roadmap for a critical area, domain, or the organization's technology infrastructure
- Drive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and high-quality engineering processes, including conducting thorough code reviews; provide architectural guidance and foster operational excellence
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, particularly Senior and mid-level engineers, to help them develop their skills and advance their careers
- Act as a "glue" person, coordinating technical efforts and communication across multiple squads, departments, and stakeholders (e.g., Product Managers, Engineering Managers)
- Champion and cultivate a robust engineering culture that prioritizes ownership, excellence, and speed
- Play an active role in the lead engineering group, contributing to the definition and enhancement of company-wide software and systems engineering standards
