Requirements

Passion and knowledge of the web3 ecosystem
Expert practitioner in the craft of product design, capable of delivering thoughtful, polished experiences, including motion and interaction design
Demonstrated experience designing and shipping consumer-facing products
Proven ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences
Strong understanding of how design, product, and engineering can work together to ship high-quality experiences quickly and at scale
Can effectively communicate ideas and project direction to internal teams and stakeholders
Experience generating user insight by shaping and leading research studies
Ability to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward
Portfolio demonstrating: experience solving ambiguous problems and how you got there; experience working on consumer-facing products (mobile and web); impact of your work on the broader goals of the company; how you leverage insights to make user-driven decisions

Responsibilities

Own and lead Crypto design, contributing to conversations and direction of the product roadmap and strategy
Understand the investing needs of customers, empowering both new and sophisticated crypto investors with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions
Partner closely with engineering, data science, and product management to find refined but practical solutions to design challenges
Create multiple concepts and prototypes, recognizing when meticulous attention to detail is needed and when low-fidelity sketches are adequate for visualizing ideas
Listen to users to develop the right product strategy and find solutions that delight customers
Leverage data to inform design solutions
Understand the strategic direction and vision for working areas and ensure all UX efforts are aligned with that direction
Raise the craft quality bar at Wealthsimple through your own work and through mentoring and development of Designers in your domain
Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in crypto and on-chain technologies, guiding product and design decisions
Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies to integrate innovative solutions into product design
