Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in turning complex problems into engaging design solutions and at least 5 years of experience working within an in-house product team, owning the evolution of an existing product. Strong conceptual thinking that balances user needs, business goals, and clinical insights, exceptional experience design skills, and experience working with design systems are required. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and collaboration, extensive experience over the design process from concept development to launch, and experience leading small teams and mentoring other designers are also necessary. Bonus points for experience managing other designers, designing for healthcare or behavior change, and collaborating with Data Scientists or Analysts.
The Staff Product Designer will lead visual and experience design expression and implementation across the product experience, supporting other designers in their decisions. They will identify gaps and opportunities in the member and care team experience, advocating for the problems to be solved. The role involves driving the design process through definition, ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design in iterative cycles. Collaboration with product managers, care team operations, user insights, engineering, and clinical partners is essential. The designer will use user-centered design methodologies to craft designs that connect user needs, data, business goals, and clinical insight, while also identifying opportunities to improve Omada's processes and systems for a stronger user-centered design organization. This role will own and tackle complex design challenges and lead and mentor other designers.
