Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key architect and thought leader in cloud infrastructure, guiding the team on best practices for resilient, high-performance systems; mentor and coach senior engineers
  • Provide oversight of hosted Linux and Windows systems, networks, databases, and applications; identify and solve critical performance, scalability, and stability challenges
  • Design and develop reusable components and operational strategies to enhance scalability, performance, and monitoring of cloud systems; collaborate on company-wide solutions
  • Lead establishment and evolution of infrastructure-as-code best practices, driving automation, self-healing, and security standards
  • Drive operational cost savings through service optimizations, autoscaling, and distributed processing architectures; partner with finance team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, engineering, business) to align operational strategies with company objectives; provide thought leadership in observability, automation, and disaster recovery
  • Continuously evaluate tools and processes; lead efforts to socialize, present, and implement enhancements for operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation on best practices, installation, provisioning, and configuration; ensure organizational alignment on standards
  • Participate in and lead on-call rotations; use post-mortems to guide long-term system reliability improvements
  • Act as a liaison between cloud operations and business stakeholders, presenting technical information understandably to ensure alignment
