Responsibilities

Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee pharmacy during bench shifts without overlap, including coaching team members, providing feedback to Pharmacy Manager, and strengthening performance measures
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and coaching team on best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
Partner with Pharmacy Manager to ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; support Pharmacy Manager by writing pharmacy schedule if directed
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through clinical services like testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower team to provide services
