Responsibilities

Deliver purpose by providing safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices to manage and improve patient health
Support the Pharmacy Manager by exhibiting best practices on the bench, including quarterbacking the team and providing meaningful patient counseling
Oversee the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap, strengthening performance through coaching, follow-up, and feedback to the Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, genuine care, collaboration with healthcare teams, and proactive resolution of insurance/medication issues; coach team accordingly
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn immunization
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching team on best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Partner with the Pharmacy Manager in cultivating a culture of excellence and developing leadership skills for future Pharmacy Manager role
