Responsibilities

Act as role model, mentor, and guide for the pharmacy team, demonstrating genuine care
Deliver patient care including safe dispensing, meaningful counseling, and immunizations
Abide by legal, regulatory guidelines, workplace policies, and pharmacy workflow procedures
Support Pharmacy Manager by quarterbacking the team during bench shifts and providing performance feedback
Oversee pharmacy operations as proxy during shifts without overlap, including coaching team members
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment using safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration with healthcare team, and resolving issues
Proactively offer immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory, following best practices with focus on cold chain products
Strengthen pharmacy performance through effective coaching and follow-up
