Responsibilities

  • Act as role model, mentor, and guide for pharmacy team, demonstrating genuine care
  • Deliver patient care including safe dispensing, meaningful counseling, and immunizations
  • Abide by legal, regulatory guidelines, workplace policies, and pharmacy workflow procedures
  • Support Pharmacy Manager by quarterbacking team, providing feedback, and overseeing operations during bench shifts
  • Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as primary or only pharmacist-on-duty
  • Coach and follow up with pharmacy team on performance, safety guardrails, and best practices
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration with healthcare team, and resolving issues
  • Proactively offer immunizations and support technicians in learning to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, focusing on best practices and protecting cold chain products
  • Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching and consistent follow-up
