Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and practices. Prior experience as a pharmacist is preferred, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care to customers by accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling them regarding health care and medication needs, maintaining confidential information, and managing controlled medications. They will also be responsible for monitoring and interpreting changes in pharmaceutical legislation, developing pharmacy policies to ensure compliance, conducting audits, and providing guidance to pharmacy staff on customer service approaches and emerging health issues within the community.
