Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state where they will be employed. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to build rapport with patients and provide patient-centered care.
The Staff Pharmacist will counsel patients on their medications, accurately process prescription orders, and maintain confidential patient information. They will also be responsible for administering immunizations, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Furthermore, the role involves actively participating in community outreach events, such as Wellness Days, and supporting the pharmacy staff by modeling excellent customer service and providing guidance on resolving patient concerns, as well as understanding and addressing community health needs.
