Requirements
Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment. They must have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. A passion for patient-centered care and community involvement is essential, along with the ability to adapt to a diverse patient base and effectively communicate complex medical information.
Responsibilities
The Staff Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical care to customers by accurately dispensing prescription orders, counseling them on health care and medication needs, and maintaining confidential information. They will also be responsible for maintaining controlled medications, completing required documentation, and participating in inventory control and cost savings initiatives. Furthermore, they will model and provide guidance to pharmacy staff on customer service, address customer concerns, and stay updated on community health issues, as well as participate in community outreach and wellness events.
