Requirements

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience operating production infrastructure on AWS and possess strong knowledge of distributed systems and multi-tier architectures. Experience with ECS/EKS, networking, load balancing, logging, metrics, tracing, caching, and storage is required, along with expertise in Amazon Aurora (MySQL- and PostgreSQL-compatible) clusters. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and a background in CI/CD practices are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Staff Infrastructure Engineer will architect and operate a modern, service-oriented AWS environment, partnering with service owners to deepen the AWS-centric model. Responsibilities include designing, building, and operating core platform components, providing architectural guidance and operational support for Amazon Aurora clusters, and defining SLOs with actionable alerting. The role involves shipping infrastructure as code using Terraform, managing migrations and modernizations, and improving cost efficiency, performance, and security. Additionally, the engineer will participate in an on-call rotation, lead blameless postmortems, and contribute to a paved-road developer experience through documentation and templates.
