Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
10+ years of experience hands on coding and familiarity with common programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript, NodeJS)
10+ years of engineering experience building end-to-end back end services
Demonstrated experience leading (inferred from context as description cuts off)
Strategic leader with attention to detail and relentless drive for quality
Comfortable being hands-on while providing high-level guidance
Ability to mentor senior engineers and grow engineering leadership
Strong communicator who can influence other leaders

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for the architecture of highly secure, scalable, reliable, and performant notifications systems
Identify dependencies and review key designs for consistency with architecture and business support
Lead the team to deliver multiple projects in collaboration with key stakeholders
Build an operational center of excellence with effective observability, scale, performance, and quality focus
Help in build vs. buy decisions considering business criticality, long-term vision, and maintainability
Be hands-on and lead by example
Partner with EMs, Sr. EMs, and product leaders to prioritize work and create a balanced roadmap
Work closely with senior leadership to drive org design, execute roadmap, and influence strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on goals and drive engineering initiatives
Mentor senior engineers and build the next level of engineering leadership
