Requirements

  • 8+ years experience developing rich applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other web technologies
  • 6+ years experience with at least one or more modern web application frameworks (React, Angular, Ember, etc.)
  • Experience with building high-performance, reusable code, e.g. UI components
  • Proven experience in building, maintaining, and evolving design systems and component libraries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on creating scalable solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
  • A hunger desire to solve meaningful problems for customers
  • Experience with consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with debugging

Responsibilities

  • Build features targeting Weave's client application using web technologies (TypeScript/React/HTML/CSS)
  • Work closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional, user-friendly web pages
  • Conduct thorough testing of applications, identify bugs, and fix them efficiently. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
  • Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring the best possible performance across a variety of devices and browsers
  • Lead the maintenance, enhancement, and expansion of our shared component library and design system, ensuring they are easy to use, well-documented, and aligned with industry standards
  • Provide architectural guidance and technical direction across multiple teams, ensuring cohesive and scalable solutions
  • Mentor and support engineers across various teams, helping them grow their technical skills and understanding of best practices
  • Float between teams to offer support where it's most needed, addressing critical issues and helping teams overcome technical challenges
  • Establish and enforce development standards, practices, and tooling to improve code quality and developer productivity
  • Tackle vague and loosely defined problems and develop innovative solutions that have a broad impact on the organization
  • Identify and solve large-scale problems within the department, creating solutions that accelerate development for all teams
