Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in backend web technologies, and at least 4 years of experience working with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, SQL/NOSQL databases, and building highly reliable distributed web applications that operate at a high scale. Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of concurrency and multithreading are also required.

Responsibilities

The Staff Engineer will own at least one or more applications, lead the design, architecture, and development of complex software systems, frameworks, and libraries, ensuring they meet high standards of quality, performance, and scalability, and contribute to developing a robust roadmap for engineering operational excellence. They will conduct performance analysis and optimization of software systems, participate in project planning and estimation, collaborate with teams to define software requirements, provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and stay current with new technologies and best practices in software development while also contributing to hiring the best talents for Quince.
