Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Advanced degrees preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, integrate, and test PCA designs for PROCEPT’s systems through the entire product design cycle and transfer to manufacturing
  • Implement PCB stack-up designs that balance performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • Work with internal manufacturing teams as well as external CMs (Contract Manufacturers) and board fabrication vendors
  • Perform board level bring-up and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with Firmware, Software, Mechanical, System Analysts, and Clinical teams on design, configuration, and integration
  • Write Verification protocols and perform protocol execution
  • Contribute to system design and architecture development
  • Deliver complex solutions to market and support fielded product(s)
  • Design, develop, test, maintain, and document electrical systems for PROCEPT’s products in accordance with PROCEPT’s quality system
  • Major contributor within electrical engineering team with primary focus on visualization systems, camera hardware, imaging electronics and image/video processing
  • Design and develop circuit boards, provide electrical specifications for cables, and specify test fixtures to assist with research and prototyping of visualization systems
  • Ensure designs consider mechanical, firmware, software, and system interactions, as well as testability, manufacturability, usability, materials compliance
  • Work in a lab environment and operate typical Lab instruments, such as Multimeters, Oscilloscope, power supplies, waveform generators, etc
  • Document the electrical design with hardware requirements specification, dFMEAs, hardware design descriptions, drawings and specifications, including component specifications, verification plans, protocols, test methods, and test reports
  • Maintain knowledge and provide support for multiple electronics parts of the system, including existing and developing products
  • Provide input for project schedules
  • May assist with agency testing for UL, CE, and other certifications (e.g., IEC 60601)
  • Host and participate in review activities for circuit design, layout design, component selection, and subsystem risk analysis and mitigation
  • Work independently, requiring minimal supervision
  • Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance
  • Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality and EHS policies
