Requirements

Senior design leader with deep literacy in AI (both conceptually and practically) and pioneering role in the AI design space
Expert in visual design, UX, and system thinking, with a portfolio demonstrating outstanding craft and forward-looking interaction design
Experienced in partnering with major technology companies, navigating their ecosystems, and delivering successful joint experiences
Creative and resourceful, able to find elegant solutions within constraints of partner design systems
Skilled at balancing strategic priorities and business impact with design quality
Technically fluent, able to collaborate with engineers and product managers on prototyping and implementation
Excellent communicator, comfortable representing Spotify to senior external stakeholders and pitching bold ideas
Availability to overlap with US West Coast time zones for partner collaboration
Willingness to travel to meet with external partners
Based in London (with flexibility for remote work and some in-person meetings)

Responsibilities

Imagine and design user experiences for Spotify within third-party AI agents, voice assistants, and ecosystems
Partner closely with Spotify’s Business Development team during early partner engagement stages to articulate opportunities, pitch Spotify’s vision, and land high-impact experiences
Collaborate with external design and product teams at leading technology companies, balancing partner constraints with Spotify’s design standards and user needs
Lead the end-to-end design of AI-driven experiences across Spotify’s formats: music, podcasts, and audiobooks
Apply system thinking and UX expertise to craft scalable, cohesive experiences in partner environments
Elevate visual quality and interaction design, ensuring experiences feel both native to partner ecosystems and distinctly Spotify
Develop prototypes and design explorations that bring new interaction paradigms to life, pushing beyond today’s norms
Work closely with Spotify business development, product, engineering teams to align AI partnership experiences with Spotify’s broader strategy
Represent design in conversations with senior leaders, making clear trade-offs that balance user delight, partner constraints, and business impact
Act as a thought partner for internal teams, helping shape Spotify’s positioning and execution in the AI ecosystem
