Requirements

Ability to work remotely within the U.S. for a Staff Data Engineer role
Experience leading cloud-based big data engineering efforts, including data wrangling, analysis, and pipeline development
Proficiency with data pipelines, data ingestion, and building scalable data processing architectures on AWS
Strong experience with data tools and platforms such as Databricks, Redshift, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Spark, and Python
Ability to design and optimize data models on AWS using Databricks and AWS data stores (e.g., Redshift, RDS, S3)
Experience integrating and assembling large, complex data sets to meet diverse business requirements
Ability to read, extract, transform, stage, and load data to various tools and frameworks
Experience customizing and managing integration tools, databases, data warehouses, and analytical systems
Capability to process unstructured data for analysis
Ability to collaborate with geographically distributed teams and work with technology and engineering teams to integrate data processing with business objectives
Passion for software engineering, with a desire to continuously learn, improve, and empower other team members
Focus on building scalable, highly available, efficient, and secure software solutions for big data initiatives

Responsibilities

Design and implement data pipelines to be processed and visualized across multiple projects and initiatives
Develop and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, designing and implementing data ingestion solutions on AWS using native AWS services
Design and optimize data models on AWS Cloud using Databricks and AWS data stores (Redshift, RDS, S3)
Integrate and assemble large, complex data sets to meet a broad range of business requirements
Read, extract, transform, stage, and load data to selected tools and frameworks as required
Customize and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems
Process unstructured data into a form suitable for analysis and assist in the analysis of processed data
Collaborate directly with technology and engineering teams to integrate data processing with business objectives
Lead cloud-based big data engineering efforts and contribute to defining and implementing the organization’s Big Data strategy
Build data collection and analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product, and operational insights
Develop pipelines capable of handling complex data sets quickly and securely and operationalize data science solutions
