Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 3 years of experience as a backend engineer, with a strong focus on Java or Kotlin development. Experience with building scalable systems and AI-enabled software applications is highly desirable.
As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building AI-enabled software applications and APIs against highly scalable systems, creating delightful product features for Help Scout’s customers, and collaborating with other engineers using JVM, JavaScript, and PHP. You will also work on tackling both customer and product-oriented problems, and contribute to the overall architecture and design of the platform.
