Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with over 10 years of experience developing and deploying web APIs using .NET (C#). Deep knowledge of backend architecture and scalable system design, hands-on experience with ORMs like Entity Framework, and strong skills in constructing and optimizing RDMS queries are essential. Proficiency with asynchronous programming models, messaging queues (e.g., AMQP), and cloud PaaS environments (e.g., Azure) is required. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively use AI-powered development tools and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
The Staff Backend Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, high-quality server-side applications, owning technical initiatives end-to-end from solution design to execution. They will collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and business stakeholders to drive product direction and simplify designs. This role involves acting as a technical leader and multiplier by mentoring engineers, leading incident responses, and providing code and architecture reviews. Responsibilities also include serving as a lead technical interviewer, leveraging AI-powered developer tools to improve workflow and code quality, monitoring server performance and reliability, participating in on-call rotations, and minimizing defects.
