About the role

We are looking for an experienced and data-driven Staff Analyst to track and optimize the performance of our pro sales team. This role involves leveraging advanced analytics to inform strategic business decisions and develop, monitor, and adjust compensation and commission plans. You will collaborate with sales executives, sales operations, and product managers to determine optimal staffing, analyze sales rep performance, and identify opportunities for productivity and profitability improvements. You will also support key initiatives and new tool launches to enhance sales efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to monitor Angi’s sales organization performance.
  • Review business, staffing, and turnover trends, developing forecasting models for optimal staffing and hiring levels across sales teams monthly.
  • Design and implement sales commission plans aligned with company goals, driving performance and market competitiveness.
  • Support the end-to-end sales compensation process, including plan documentation, communication, calculations, and payout accuracy.
  • Analyze sales performance data to evaluate commission plan effectiveness and recommend adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards for all sales compensation programs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales team performance metrics to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop models to calculate the profitability of sales rep activities and recommend optimizations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, product, and marketing to provide data-driven insights for process and spending enhancements.
  • Build analytics plans to support A/B testing, evaluation, and launch of new sales strategies, tools, and processes (e.g., prospect scoring models, Salesforce features).
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights for business strategy and growth.
  • Proactively identify risks to sales team performance and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure data integrity by collaborating with data engineering teams for accurate, scalable data solutions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and assist in refining analytics processes, models, and reporting tools.
  • Stay current with industry trends in home services, sales staffing, and emerging data tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of analytical experience in an e-commerce environment.
