Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in deep learning and LLM work, and 8 years in machine learning and statistical analysis. They should have at least 3 years of Python experience and be proficient in selecting appropriate tools for data optimization problems. Experience with large-scale distributed systems, statistical software like Spark, and addressing challenges with incomplete or mislabeled data is also required. A PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, along with experience in security, sensitive data systems, Databricks/MLflow, designing agentic systems, and proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or Tensorflow. Demonstrated leadership, self-direction, first-author publications, competition wins, and health-tech system knowledge are advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Staff AI Researcher will develop AI solutions to improve healthcare by partnering with engineering and analytics teams to integrate AI technology into products and workflows. This role involves harnessing knowledge from extensive medical datasets to train, fine-tune, and deploy AI models. Responsibilities include building prototypes with AI techniques, working with large datasets to solve complex analysis problems, and redesigning pipelines for data and query needs. The researcher will implement techniques for fine-tuning generative models for healthcare tasks, develop evaluation metrics for AI/ML models, and engineer feature pipelines. They will also set and uphold engineering process standards, deliver working Proof of Concept (POC) solutions, and manage trade-offs for speed, scalability, and time-to-market.
