Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in software development, a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and microservice architecture, and experience with observability tools such as NewRelic, Elastic, Grafana, PagerDuty, and OTEL. Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters in production settings, AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is also required, along with 5+ years of experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

As an SRE Engineer at Altium, you will be responsible for understanding how Altium Cloud Platforms work, pioneering improvements in observability through logging, monitoring, and APM to ensure system reliability and proactive issue detection, contributing to incident response and management, participating in infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, collaborating on system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning, improving the reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions, partnering with engineering and development teams to enhance product stability and manageability, and working closely with DevOps/Operations to drive automation initiatives, promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and streamline deployment processes.
