Requirements

  • Ability to perform activities supporting inbound, outbound, and general warehouse operations
  • Skills in preparing and processing routine forms, reports, and documents (e.g., inbound/outbound documents, discrepancy reports, stock/damage claims, time sheets, requisitions, shipping labels)
  • Experience communicating with internal and external customers, responding to inquiries, and researching information
  • Proficiency in collecting, tracking, and inputting data on operations metrics (e.g., shorts, mispicks, dump/damage, service level, associate overtime)
  • Capability to support training and developing junior clerical teammates
  • Knowledge of scheduling receiving appointments with vendors based on warehouse capacities
  • Ability to manage inbound freight processes, including driver check-in/check-out and issue resolution
  • Skills in assigning receiving doors and preparing/confirming purchase orders
  • Experience checking returns, credit slips, investigating picking errors, and assembling returned orders
  • Ability to interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting and shipping issues
  • Proficiency in completing outbound paperwork and reports (e.g., for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, trucks)
  • Comfortable working in office environments and occasionally in warehouse areas including cooler and freezer sections

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal warehouse operations by preparing/processing routine forms, reports, and documents following standard procedures; escalate compliance issues to the warehouse team
  • Communicate with internal/external customers to support staff and customer needs; respond to inquiries and calls; research requests
  • Collect, track, and input data on operations metrics; highlight results to managers and support metric improvements
  • Support training and development of junior clerical teammates
  • Schedule receiving appointments with vendors for inbound freight to optimize warehouse functioning; prepare/update Delivery Appointment sheet daily
  • Manage inbound freight processes: perform driver check-in/check-out, resolve/escalate issues, assign receiving doors, prepare/confirm purchase orders
  • Check returns and credit slips; assemble returned orders for picking slots; investigate picking errors and missing products; support error/return minimization
  • Interact with warehouse personnel to solve selecting/shipping issues; escalate and collaborate on prevention
  • Complete outbound paperwork/reports (e.g., for selecting crew, route loading, drivers, trucks); update master storage report
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
