Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of overall experience as an individual contributor, with experience in management and leadership roles being a plus. They must possess the ability and desire to be hands-on while also empowering peers and collaborating across different functional areas and products. The role requires the ability to develop, coordinate, and execute an engineering roadmap, communicate crisply at all levels, and work effectively in a distributed team. Familiarity with the Agile process and the Cybersecurity Industry is necessary, along with programming/scripting knowledge in Python/Perl or Golang for automation. Desirable skills include understanding vulnerabilities, mitigations, remediations, detection techniques, and prioritization models, as well as experience with security/vulnerability detections development, release, and product development, designing and implementing validation workflows, and working in remote/distributed environments. Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for the field are also important.
The Sr. Vulnerability Detection Engineer will research, develop, and deliver Host and Network Vulnerability Assessment detections for CrowdStrike, while also collaborating on the development of new features and technical solutions. They will work closely with other internal teams and product management to understand requirements and needs for vulnerability detection capabilities, and be technically involved in capabilities for Exposure Management to detect, track, report, and prioritize vulnerabilities on assets. This role involves collaborating and leading a team of Vulnerability Detection Engineers and Researchers to plan, coordinate, and execute vulnerability detection coverage for Exposure Management supported platforms. Additionally, they will participate and lead company thought leadership efforts and guidance for analysis on prevalent vulnerabilities and Risk Based Vulnerability Management, conduct vulnerability data discovery and validation for efficacy and accuracy, and lead and manage other assigned projects.
