Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between engineering and production, assisting with the implementation of safety, quality, and process improvements
  • Coordinate with manufacturing managers, engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure satisfaction and effective communication
  • Facilitate complex department projects, including planning, scheduling, training, implementation, and documentation of solutions
  • Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on assembly lines and automation equipment
  • Assist in the design, development, and programming of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems under engineering guidance
  • Support commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control systems
  • Work with sensors, actuators, motors, and vision systems for process automation
  • Assist with installation and upgrades of production equipment, collaborating with equipment suppliers and contractors
  • Maintain and update electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD software
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies
  • Document system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
  • Provide technical support for equipment maintenance and modifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and learn new automation technologies
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and machine repairs as needed
  • Support pre-production and PPAP assembly builds, procurement, and installation of assembly lines and equipment
  • Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing processes
