Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between engineering and production, assisting with the implementation of safety, quality, and process improvements
Coordinate with manufacturing managers, engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure satisfaction and effective communication
Facilitate complex department projects, including planning, scheduling, training, implementation, and documentation of solutions
Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on assembly lines and automation equipment
Assist in the design, development, and programming of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and SCADA systems under engineering guidance
Support commissioning, debugging, and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control systems
Work with sensors, actuators, motors, and vision systems for process automation
Assist with installation and upgrades of production equipment, collaborating with equipment suppliers and contractors
Maintain and update electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using CAD software
Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies
Document system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and training materials
Provide technical support for equipment maintenance and modifications
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and learn new automation technologies
Assist with preventative maintenance and machine repairs as needed
Support pre-production and PPAP assembly builds, procurement, and installation of assembly lines and equipment
Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing processes
