Experience leading clinical studies that are scientifically valid, meet regulatory requirements, and follow ethical guidelines
Experience developing and implementing regulatory strategies for timely product approvals from worldwide regulatory bodies
Experience ensuring regulatory submissions are accurately prepared and compliant
Ability to represent the company in clinical research within a country/region, collect feedback from local customers and authorities
Ability to build and maintain networks with internal and external parties
Experience leading execution of local and global clinical research projects across multiple therapies and businesses

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the conduct of clinical studies and regulatory affairs related to product approval
Ensure clinical studies result in fair assessment of product safety/efficacy and timely product approvals
Develop and implement regulatory strategies for worldwide product approvals
Ensure regulatory submissions are accurately prepared and comply with requirements
Represent Medtronic in clinical research within the country/region and collect feedback from local customers/authorities
Build and maintain strong networks with internal and external parties
Lead execution of local and global studies, managing clinical research projects across Medtronic therapies and businesses
Oversee area of responsibility, manage performance, develop talent, engagement, and inclusion
Communicate business/operational developments, plan, prioritize, and direct responsibilities of direct reports
Mentor, coach staff to meet/exceed performance expectations, define goals/targets, conduct performance reviews and 1:1s
Supervise team members or subordinate supervisors, provide tactical/technical leadership, perform operational tasks
Plan and establish goals/objectives for the team within the department
Make improvements to processes, systems, or products; address complex problems requiring broader understanding
Communicate with internal/external customers/vendors across organization levels to share information and gain cooperation
