Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
6+ years of professional software development experience
3+ years of experience with building scalable, distributed systems using modern frameworks such as AWS, Azure or GCP
2+ years coding in Java
Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Core, SpringBoot, JPA (e.g. Hibernate)
1+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience providing technical leadership to engineers, leading an engineering team, and/or mentorship
Ability to work in the Waukesha office on an as needed basis without travel accommodations

Responsibilities

Lead a team of software engineers developing innovative Cloud based applications in the healthcare space
Design reliable, scalable, and secure applications spanning Cloud and on-prem deployment
Develop high quality, well-engineered and thoroughly tested code in Java
Assign and track work across the team
Collaborate with stakeholders across different parts of GE Healthcare to drive timelines, requirements and features
Coordinate with on-site deployment teams in clinical setting (e.g. hospitals) to streamline solution integration and deployment
Participate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all the team deliverables
