Requirements

Candidates must have 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, building modern web applications, with at least 2 years of production experience using React and TypeScript. The role requires the ability to operate full-stack and a passion for engineering quality. Experience leading large frontend projects, including design, planning, estimation, work breakdown, cross-engineer collaboration, and release management, is also necessary. A Computer Science degree or equivalent experience, healthcare industry experience, strong collaboration and communication skills, a strong sense of end-to-end user-centric engineering, and previous experience mentoring other engineers are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the Provider Experience team by developing tools and experiences that reduce administrative burdens for Rula's providers. This includes creating intuitive user experiences to boost productivity, developing backend services for secure and compliant PHI data storage, and implementing complex workflow automations to support clinical operations. The engineer will work across the entire technology stack, focusing on frontend development while maintaining full-stack capabilities.
