Position Overview

Cars Commerce is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join their 100% remote team. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of Cars.com's digital platforms, including their #1 automotive marketplace website, their 4.7-star rated Android app, and their 4.8-star rated iOS app. The Senior QA Analyst will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and design partners to guide projects from conception to completion.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of QA experience
  • 3+ years of mobile app QA experience
  • Experience writing test suites to support new projects
  • Experience in a 100% remote environment
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, XCUITest, and/or Espresso is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and ensure testability and maintainability of proposed solutions.
  • Devise comprehensive test plans for project delivery and long-term regression testing across mobile apps and the website.
  • Set best practices for testability and advise software engineers on selecting and setting up automated tests.
  • Ensure software quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Empower the team to deliver high-quality experiences for mobile and web users.
  • Detect defects quickly and efficiently to minimize resolution costs and customer impact.
