The internship is full-time with a standard Monday-Friday schedule in a laboratory setting and office environment.
Candidates must be able to independently design and execute experiments with basic troubleshooting, have strong time management and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Applicants must be a doctoral student in the area of Life Science Research at UW-Madison and legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship; Thermo Fisher does not offer this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, or CPT Visas.
The intern works under the close supervision of an assigned mentor and R&D Manager, in close contact with Product and Program Managers, and collaborates efficiently with team members across R&D in a multi-disciplinary team to support a positive work environment.
Strong candidates can independently design experiments, conduct troubleshooting, manage time effectively, communicate excellently in oral and written forms, contribute new ideas to scientific discussions, and work well in multi-disciplinary teams.
