The Senior Project Manager requires experience managing clinical projects, integrating clinical operations and IT support, and utilizing IT PMO project management methodologies. They must have experience in project development, schedule and WBS creation, budget management, contract negotiations, risk assessment and mitigation, scope and change management, issue management, status reporting, resource management, training plans, communication planning, go-live management, transition to IT production support, value realization, and lessons learned. Experience with vendor management, including contract reconciliation, maintenance agreements, enhancements, upgrades, issue escalation, and partnership agreements, is also necessary. The role involves guiding stakeholders and team members through the project lifecycle, ensuring effective resource utilization, and managing project database tools. Additionally, experience in analyzing, selecting, designing, and implementing IT solutions that meet information security and compliance requirements is needed. Assistance with IT PMO governance, including program and project approval, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of PMO components, is required. Experience with project portfolio management, governance materials preparation, cost, schedule, risk management, and requirements analysis is also part of the requirements.
The Senior Project Manager will plan, direct, control, and implement highly complex, large-scale, strategic IT projects to meet business and clinical needs. They will manage clinical projects, integrating Clinical Operations and IT support departments to deliver technology that drives business/clinical benefit. Responsibilities include managing all project management activities such as budget, schedule, contracts, deliverables, risks, scope, changes, issues, status reporting, resources, training, communication, go-live, transition to support, value realization, and lessons learned. The role involves guiding project stakeholders and team members through the project lifecycle, ensuring effective resource utilization, and managing project databases. Vendor relationships within project scope will be managed, including contract reconciliation, maintenance, enhancements, upgrades, issue escalation, and partnership agreements. The Senior Project Manager will provide general leadership and direction in the analysis, selection, design, and implementation of IT solutions, reviewing project performance, and working with IT resource managers to resolve barriers. They will also assist in the preparation and production of governance materials for IT programs and projects, gather data for change requests, and assist with IT PMO governance value assessment and prioritization activities.
