Requirements

  • Experience leading product teams responsible for planning and delivering experiences such as conversion-focused enterprise websites, apps and/or eCommerce solutions for industries such as manufacturing, automotive, retail or other B2B enterprises
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment; prioritizes features based on knowledge of the customer and impact to the business; analyzes and discusses strategic and tactical approaches with key stakeholders, often translating complicated technical concepts into simple, non-technical language; coaches others in decision-making models, processes, and practices; anticipates potential issues to enable effective decision-making when quick action is required
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; adapts documents

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of 6-8 experienced team members across roles such as Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts
  • Leads discovery, strategy and solution design activities for new customer-facing tools tied to product selection
  • Accountable for delivery of multiple new product selection tools within defined timelines and budgets
  • Manages prioritization of epics, features and enhancements for both existing and future state, with initial priority on new product builds
  • Partners upstream with Caterpillar's business units to understand marketing strategy, commercial plans and product priorities
  • Partners downstream with Application Engineering, Platform and AI teams to develop and deploy new features and new releases on schedule
  • Drives a culture of teamwork, inclusion & connection, and focuses on ensuring the team prioritizes meaningful, impactful work
