Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, and demonstrate success in delivering results on several technical projects and challenges, along with proven leadership skills and engineering problem-solving ability. They must be completely proficient in relevant process and product development processes, and have an extensive cross-functional team experience, including technical and non-technical work.
The Sr. Principal Engineer, R&D will lead cross-functional teams through the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale programs or several small projects with complex features, applying state-of-the-art techniques in product development and improvements. They will lead projects within Baxter’s product lifecycle management (PDLM) and change control management (CCM) process, from initiation through closure, generate technical documentation, and serve as a tech-lead driving and overseeing the technical aspects of projects, varying from sustaining activity to a new product development. They will also plan, schedule, and lead cross-functional teams in detailed phases of the engineering work in a project, utilizing engineering tools such as DMAIC, FMEA, Design of Experiments, Statistical Analysis, and apply a solid understanding of theories/practices utilized by other disciplines outside the primary area of expertise.
